The name RANDET stands for Remote ANalysis and DETection. RANDET was designed to be a standalone client-server application for network monitoring and management.
The current version provides following kind of objectives:
Graphical User Interface for the Wake On LAN technology
Many software solutions support WOL heavy way, like obtaining MAC addresses from DHCP server, obtaining data via RPC for the local subnet only etc. This is unusable if you need to wake up more computers or you manage large and subneted networks. RANDET solves this problem by one click of mouse, including statistics about the WOL success rate.
Informations about hardware and performance of computers in your network
Hardware changing or upgrading is a permanent process in most cases. For the efficient management of this process, you need to sort LAN computers by often used criteria, like: lowest disk space, RAM size, slowest RAM access, lowest CPU frequency etc. By using reports of RANDET, you can bring the changing of computers in your organization to very transparent activity, which may avoid endless discussions about HW performance with users, groundless requests or a different approach by more administrators.
Monitoring of antivirus and antispyware functionality and presence, including monitoring of system updates
Even if there are many client-server AV products, their management consoles fails in some cases:
1. Computer may run without antivirus. It simply happens in large networks and it leads to a very dangerous situation.
2. Your computers use different AV products, especially during the period of upgrading or product change.
3. AV client doesn't run correctly and consequently, it doesn't report, that anything is wrong.

Network analyzer helps you to identify unstable network branches and lines, especially to identify often failing small switches in desk rooms, network interface card problems, missconfigured line duplexes etc.
Temperature monitoring
Clients of RANDET use the S.M.A.R.T. interface to collect temperatures of computers. This may help you to identify cooling troubles and to avoid data loss by disk overheating
